Your license number should be on our website (dsps.wi.gov, click on “Online Services” then “License Lookup”) at this time or within one hour. The website is an official verification that you have been issued your permanent license. Your paper license should be mailed within 15-20 business days. You do not need your paper license in hand in order to work.

The testing company should be sending you scheduling information within a few days (either through your email if you provided an email address to the testing company or through regular mail if you did not provide an email address). PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR NAME ON YOUR ATT MATCHES THE ID YOU WILL BE USING AT THE TESTING SITE (I.E. NAME ON YOUR DRIVER’S LICENSE). IF IT DOES NOT, PLEASE CONTACT THE BOARD OF NURSING SO WE CAN MAKE THE CORRECTIONS. Please EMAIL the correction(s) to diane.smith@wisconsin.gov

Once you have taken the NCLEX exam (and even if you receive “unofficial/express” results from the testing company), IT COULD TAKE 15-20 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF YOUR EXAM BEFORE YOUR RESULTS ARE POSTED ON OUR WEBSITE.
